Commonwealth Essay: Mature?
I got back my essay from review. Got 22 out of 30 marks. What disturbed me was when I was told that my essay was written so "maturely" that it was more of a comprehension passage than a composition. So me thinks, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Quite a few grammatical errors, so curse Microsoft Word for that. (Oh, and I did the Mature Rating Logo myself. Realistic, eh?)The 365-million Dollar Man
If you have yet to hear, some lucky chap in Nebraska, USA has the ONLY winning ticket to $365 million US Smackers. That's US365,000,000, which is 596,154,882.6 Singapore Dollars, the largest Lottery Jackpot winnings in the World. The most heart-cringing part? Either he's yet to know for himself, or he's afraid of publicity, and has yet to claim the cash.
Do the math. If you got US$365,000,000 from the moment you're born, taking the average human lifespan to be 75, you'll have approximately $4,866,666 to spend each year for the rest of the life. Assuming each year to be 365.5 days, a daily sum of $13315 will be yours to spend. It doesn't look that much right? But it'll cover the rest of your life. Think about it.
Oh, how I wish for a Time Machine right now.
Sorry, but that ain't stolen
One Final Word. If you do a drawing and your friend says that you probably stole it from somewhere, only then will you know that your art is that good. I'm talking about J.D. at the top on the blog, which I obviously drew, designed and coloured.
It eez beautiful, no?
